REPREVE®
REPREVE is a recycled fibre made from plastic bottles and fibre waste. It is key to our recycled range of technical sports socks. It reduces energy use, water consumption, and greenhouse gases. In the 1000 Mile Recycled range, REPREVE yarns provide strength and performance while helping the planet. Every pound of REPREVE Nylon 6 conserves enough energy to equal 0.6 gallons of petrol.
TACTEL®
TACTEL is a speciality fibre designed to be soft, light, and strong. Tests show it is at least twice as soft and 20% lighter than most fibres. It dries eight times faster than cotton while being three times stronger than natural fibres. Many 1000 Mile double-layer socks use a 100% TACTEL inner lining to reduce friction, keep feet cool, and wick moisture away.
Elastane
Elastane is a highly elastic fibre that gives socks their stretch. It ensures a close fit, helping socks stay in place during movement. Elastane also supports shape retention, so the sock does not sag or lose its form after washing.
Nylon

Merino Wool
Merino wool is one of the softest natural fibres available. It regulates temperature by keeping feet warm in winter and cool in summer. Merino is naturally moisture-wicking and slightly water-repellent, helping feet stay dry and comfortable. Up to eight styles in the 1000 Mile range feature Merino yarns.
NILIT® Breeze
NILIT Breeze fibres are engineered for cooling. They provide UV protection, a soft feel, and a comfortable fit, making them perfect for hot weather and high-intensity activity. The new Breeze Sport Sock range uses this technology to keep feet cooler for longer.
NILIT® Heat
NILIT Heat offers natural insulation by using coffee charcoal fibres. It provides warmth in cold weather, combined with moisture control and antibacterial properties. Best of all, it is eco-friendly, using surplus coffee bean shells to create the fibres.
