Foam Lifting Blocks are specially designed to assist in the lift of players during a rugby match.
The Rugby Lifting Block helps a player lift and support a jumper in a lineout. The block fits under taping applied around the jumping players thigh. As a result, the lifter grips the legs more safely and effectively. It enables them to lift higher and faster as well as experience more ‘hang time’ in the air.
The team that can lift their players higher, for longer in the lineout stands more chance of catching.
Rugby lifting blocks conform to your leg shape. Place the block against your leg where you want it to be. Then secure with the tape of your choice. This might be cohesive elastic bandage or rip lite elastic bandage.
It is important to use elastic bandages or tapes around your thighs. This allows your muscles to expand as you play without restricting blood flow.
How to use Rugby lifting blocks
- Apply 3 inch Riplite tape around the middle of the thigh
- Place the block over the thigh where you want it
- Secure with more Riplite elastic tape over the top of the block and around the thigh
